The old Yorkshire Bank building is an eyesore, it needs sorting out - Craig Gamble Pugh

“The fomer Yorkshire bank building sits in  a prime position in the centre of Chapeltown, but the owners have left it to become a crumbling tatty eyesore,”

“I’m demanding that action be taken to sort it out.” says Chapeltown Councillor Craig Gamble Pugh.

“The government has promised new powers to help us reshape our local high streets, and I will be working closely with our MP Marie Tidball to push for action”

“Please get in touch and let me know what you think it should be used for.

For example:

  • Housing to take pressure of our precious greenbelt
  • Parking to alleviate pressure on residents- especially in places like Smith Street and Station Road
  • Improved pedestrian access and/ or parking for Chapeltown Train Station
  • Shops, childrens activities, leisure or catering
  • But no more barbers or vape shops!
