Join your local Residents' Group mailing list - Councillor Craig Gamble Pugh
Tenants and Residents Associations, or TARAs, are community groups who represent the voices of local residents and organise community events and activities. Our local TARA, Monteney and Ecclesfield TARA, is looking to build up its email list to help keep in touch with local people.
After being re-established after COVID, councillor Craig Gamble Pugh has worked to support the group. And when the group recently faced closure, he pulled out all the stops to ensure it kept going.
“The Housing Office said that unless there were more people involved. they would close the group. I wouldn’t let that happen. I knocked on doors to get people to a crucial meeting. I also stepped up to join the committee,” said Ecclesfield resident Craig.
“I’m now calling on other residents to join the email mailing list. This will make it much easier for the group to let people know about trips and events it puts on.”
