Tunwell Park is our 'forgotten park'- is it time to give it some TLC? Bridget Kelly
Bridget Kelly

Nestled between Colley, Tunwell and Wheata, this park used to be called ‘wooden park’ due to the wooden playground equipment… but this rotted and was removed many, many years ago!

Local residents have been telling us about how the park is a mess, with litter, dog mess, and broken glass.

Our local Labour Councillor Craig Gamble Pugh, and local campaigner Bridget Kelly, are happy to lobby for improvements to be made, if there is public support for this. We are also happy to help set up a ‘Friends of Tunwell Park’ group, if people would like to volunteer. Friends of groups are a good way to bring in funds, organise events, and help communities to look after their local parks.

We’d like to gauge how much demand there is for some investment in the park. Please let us know if you’d like to sign our petition below. You can also let us know if you’d be interested in a Friend of group.
