A number of residents got in touch recently, concerned about an increase in car crime and burglaries- I have seen the camera footage of people trying doors on the estate at night, and it’s a worry. 

I’ve spoken to the North Area Coordinator for Neighbourhood watch, who updated me that signage for a local Neighbourhood Watch was held up when the pandemic hit. Now seems like a good time to get a neighbourhood watch up and running: you can sign up below.

I have also set up a petition asking the police to increase their presence and visibility in the area. Neighbourhood Watch is a good way for residents to help one another, and they also help ensure the police know where there are hotspots so they can respond.
