Local Labour campaigner Craig Gamble Pugh speaks to local residents

Hailed as a radical new way of working, the Labour Council’s new Local Area Committees are designed to empower communities to shape council services

Ecclesfield and Chapeltown Labour campaigner Craig Gamble Pugh said “The Labour Council have introduced the new system as part of a radical re-organisation which will give more local control over decisions about how council services are run in our area. The idea is to give our local community powers to address issues that matter to local people.”

Plans include:
– More investment for local needs
– Tackling grotspots, including flytipping litter & graffiti, through a new fund
– Make youth services more responsive to local needs
To raise issues, tell us about a local grotspot, or find out more, contact Craig using the form below.
